“Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty. – Malachi 3:7 (NIV)
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being a God of mercy, of second chances, and divine restoration. Even when I drift, You call me back—not with condemnation, but with compassion.

Today, Lord, speak to the areas of my life that have grown cold, where I've let things drop that You’ve called me to carry. Give me the courage to pick up what I’ve abandoned, and the humility to return to You. Let this moment be a holy turning point—a sacred reset in our journey with You.
Renew my strength. Reignite my passion. Realign my steps. In Jesus’ name, I pray,
Amen.
While walking through a store recently, I saw a simple sign that read: “Pick Up and Return.” It was likely referring to a customer service process, but in that moment, I felt something deeper stir in my spirit. I began to think—what might these words mean spiritually? Biblically?
That sign became a mirror. A gentle whisper. A divine nudge. Because isn’t that just like God—to use even the ordinary moments of life to speak to our souls?
Luke 15:17-20 (The Prodigal Son)
“When he came to his senses, he said… ‘I will set out and go back to my father…’ So he got up and went to his father.”
There comes a time in every believer’s journey when God invites us with two simple but powerful actions: Pick Up and Return.
Pick up what you’ve dropped—your faith, your discipline, your assignment, your praise.
Return to the One who never left.
Like the prodigal son, we often find ourselves off course—maybe burdened by shame, tiredness, or distraction. But the call of grace is always clear: Get up. Come home.
To pick up is not just about reclaiming what’s lost; it’s about realigning with purpose.
To return is about intimacy, identity, and obedience.
It’s not too late. You’re not too far. God’s arms are still open.
Life Application:
Reflect on the sign. What might God be asking you to “pick up” today? A prayer life? A calling? A relationship?
Return with boldness. Don’t let guilt or time gone by keep you away. The Father isn’t counting your steps away—He’s watching for your return.
Walk it out. Take action. Pick up what belongs to you in Christ. Return to your assignment. Return to worship. Return to Him.
Father,
Thank You for speaking in unexpected ways—even through something as simple as a store sign. Thank You for calling me to pick up what I’ve let go and to return to You without shame. You are a God of grace, mercy, and open arms.
Today, I respond to Your invitation. I pick up my cross, my purpose, and my passion. I return to You—my refuge, my strength, and my Fa
ther.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
