Love Is What The World Needs Now

Saints. What good is it to say we love the Lord and hate our brothers and sisters. How can we say we believe in God who sent Jesus and never seek to indoctrinate ourselves into learning more about Him and His call upon our lives. Saints we must become living examples of the risen Savior Jesus the Christ. In doing so we can fulfill His mission here on earth! Saints of God, too many Christians today emphasize guarding the truth, but downplay applying and living the truth. As Paul puts it in the 17th verse of our text in 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17, we must both “say” and “do.” Saints' words have meaning, and while they can inspire people into action, our actions must line up with our words. We must make sure that our words don't just inspire others, it should also inspire us, by faith, to put into action what we say we believe! James the brother of Jesus said "faith without works is dead!"

Don't let your testimony be seen as lacking faith and the strength of your conviction to walk out that faith. For many have left the faith for lack of faith, too often because those we have led to Christ, are dissuaded because our words do not match our walk! One of the best ways to guard the truth is to put it into practice. It is good to be defenders of the faith, but we must also be demonstrators of the faith. You all know the story of Lazarus, he did not have to give lectures on the resurrection. People had only to look at him and they believed as the Bible refers to in John 12:9–11.

Therefore, Saints of God, let's not have our noses pressed against the window looking for Jesus to return, or always looking up into heaven for Him. Instead, we should be looking around in our community doing the work of the Lord here while we wait for Him. That is the greatest proof that we believe in not only He is coming, but we believe he is coming for you and I! Amen!

The Word of God.

"May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, [17] encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word".
