“A Very Big God”

Father,

We come before You with hearts humbled by Your greatness. You are the God who formed the stars and called them each by name—and yet, You know us intimately. You see every tear, hear every whisper, and hold every burden we carry. Lord, remind us today of just how big You are. Expand our vision. Stretch our faith. Let us not be confined by what we see but be transformed by what You’ve promised. We invite Your presence to surround us now—speak to our hearts, lift our eyes, and anchor our hope in You. In the mighty name of Jesus,

Amen.

There are moments in life that shrink us—grief that buckles the knees, burdens too big for our shoulders, and uncertainties that blur our vision. In those moments, it's easy to believe the world is just too heavy, and we are just too small.

But then, we lift our eyes.

And we remember: We serve a very big God.

A God who speaks galaxies into existence with a whisper. Who balances oceans in the palm of His hand. Who numbers every star and still knows your name.

Isaiah 40:28-31 (CSB):

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never becomes faint or weary; there is no limit to His understanding. He gives strength to the faint and strengthens the powerless. Youths may become faint and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not faint.”

He is not startled by your struggles. He is not intimidated by your questions. He is not distant when you cry.

Psalm 147:5 (CSB):

“Our Lord is great, vast in power; His understanding is infinite.”

He is the God who made thunder rumble—and yet still leans close when you pray.

He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is the healer of broken things. The mender of shattered dreams. The restorer of stolen time.

Jeremiah 32:17 (CSB):

“Oh, Lord God! You yourself made the heavens and earth by your great power and with your outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for you!”

When you feel overwhelmed by what’s ahead, remember Who goes before you. When you feel defeated, remember Who is fighting for you. When you feel unseen, remember Who calls you His own.

Ephesians 3:20-21 (CSB):

“Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us— to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

You serve a very big God. So don’t shrink your prayers. Don’t limit your faith. Don’t underestimate what He can do through you.

The mountain may look big—but your God is bigger.

Father God,

Thank You for reminding us that we are never alone—that we serve a God who is limitless in power and faithful in love. As we go forward, let this truth burn deeply in our spirits: You are bigger than our fears, stronger than our trials, and closer than our very breath. Help us to pray bold prayers, to walk in courageous faith, and to live as if the impossible is possible—because with You, it is. Seal this word in our hearts and carry us in the confidence that we belong to a very big God. We trust You, we praise You, and we love You.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
