Who Are You Really Serving?

Joshua asked the tribes of Israel “And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)

So the people answered and said: “Far be it from us that we should forsake the Lord to serve other gods; for the LORD our God is He who brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way that we went and among all the people through whom we passed.” Joshua 24:16-17 (NKJV)

Do you have a story how God delivered you from bondage?

I have titled this “Who Are You Really Serving” because it was brought to my attention of the upcoming convention for “Christian” Witches. The website said, “You being you, Your Witchy Self and Your Christian Self. You can have it all. If you are a soul who loves Christ and the Craft, you’re home here. If you feel strange about it, rest assured there are thousands like us around the globe and growing”.

A blog written on October 23, 2020, on this website was titled “What Does the Word “Christian” in Christian Witch Mean? “Christian” denotes one who aspires to the divine ideals as expressed in the life and teachings of Christ: Christ Consciousness (or to be Christ-like), and NOT one who adheres to a specific religion. Christ himself was not a Christian.” The author states “I don’t know if Jesus Christ is a historical figure, and to be honest with you, I don’t care.” “The reason I don’t care whether he was an actual figure from history, a conglomeration of several figures, or a completely made-up character is because I do not take the Bible literally.” There is more from the author, but I will not end the commentary here.

Who are you really serving if you consider yourself to be a “Christian”, but have no idea if Jesus is the Son of God or a historical or fabricated figure? Do you believe the Bible is the Word of God and God’s truth? How does God’s view the practice of witchcraft?

Do you know that God said, “and say, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the women who sew magic charms on all their wrists and make veils of various lengths for their heads in order to ensnare people. Will you ensnare the lives of my people but preserve your own?” Ezekiel 13:18: (ESV)

or

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God”.

Galatians 5:19-21 (KJV)

As a “Christian Witch” do you take the Bible literally or have a fear of God who will hold everyone to account for the deeds done while living in the world?

Why is it necessary to add Christian as a description to the practice of witchcraft? I believe the devil has deceived thousands around the globe who are in the Christian faith that by adding the word “Christian” it will sanctify magical practices (witchcraft).

God has spoken loudly throughout the Bible of His disapproval of witchcraft. If you love Christ more than the Craft, please read Deuteronomy 18:10-14, Isaiah 47:8-14, Ezekiel 13:17-23, Ezekiel 18:1-32, Malachi 3:5, Acts 13:6-11;16:16-18; & 19:18-20, 2 Corinthians 4:4, Galatians 5:1-26, 1 John 3:8-10 & 1 John 4:1-3, and Revelation 18:23; & 22:15. Choose today who you will serve based on God’s Word, and His Character. Be grateful for Jesus who is God’s Son and demonstrate a fruitful life that is powered by the Holy Spirit.

“You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you.”

Galatians 5:7-8 NKJV
