Talking is among the most dangerous things people do! And listening is the most infrequent in families and in the workplace. This leads to conflict and makes developing strong, happy relationships difficult. The Safe Conversations dialogue process helps replace conflict with connection. The Safe ConversationsĀ® workshop developed by Harville Hendrix, PhD and Helen LaKelly Hunt, PhD is for couples, singles, youth and everyone.
A Safe Conversation replaces conflict with connection by teaching Safe ConversationsĀ® sentence stems to individuals, couples, communities, organizations, and schools. Safe Conversations is a research-based methodology that teaches attendees skills and techniques proven to improve relationships by creating safety in the relationship to allow for communication through differences and conflict.
The workshop is designed for all learning types. Videos will demonstrate the dialogue and participants will practice with a partner how to mirror an appreciation, develop curiosity and empathy instead of judgment.
Lori Pearson is a trained Safe Conversations Workshop Leader, a graduate from Liberty University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a John Maxwell Team Certified Trainer.
