Come close and make sure no one else is around. Do you have a secret that if told will bring you shame and your world crashing down? Something you did or happened to you and if it was found out you do not know what you would do?
Do you hear voices in your head saying shame on you? Well listen closely because I have a bigger secret. Jesus Christ still loves you. You see Jesus died for your secret sin or sins so that this shameful sin is not charged against you but to Him.
Don’t take your life and commit suicide. I still have work for you to do. I need you alive, that is why I saved you. I chose you knowing all about your secret sin or sins and that you might even sin again.
So when you hear the voices scream guilty and shame, know that Jesus took the blame. Jesus says, daughter or son you are not guilty, my sacrifice at Calvary covers your shame. I paid the price with my blood sacrifice that washes you clean, makes you holy, and a new creation.
You can live freely now knowing I did all of that for you. Go and sin no longer live free from guilt and shame. I just ask that you honor my name. I have placed my holy spirit inside you to give you strength and power to resist the devil and his temptations to sin every hour.
You see it was he the devil who tempted you to sin, and others to sin against you. But, my love for you and my bloodshed on the cross for you defeated him and justifies you. Tell that voice of accusation when it comes knocking at your door, you are not guilty Jesus paid it all. Don’t come back knocking at my door.
