Clear The Clutter of Your Heart

Heavenly Father,
We quiet our hearts before You today. Thank You for desiring not only to dwell in heaven but also to abide within us. Open the doors of our hearts wide so that You may land in the deepest arenas of our lives—our emotions, our decisions, our dreams, and even our struggles. May Your Spirit find a resting place within us, shaping us into vessels of Your love and truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Scripture Focus
1.Revelation 3:20 (NIV) – “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
2.Ephesians 3:16–17 (NIV) – “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.”
A young pilot was training for his first solo landing. He had taken off confidently, but when it came time to bring the plane back down, fear gripped him. The runway looked too short, the winds too strong. His instructor’s voice came over the radio: “Trust the runway. It was built to carry you. Just line up, lower your speed, and let the plane land. The ground is waiting for you.”
A young pilot was training for his first solo landing. He had taken off confidently, but when it came time to bring the plane back down, fear gripped him. The runway looked too short, the winds too strong. His instructor’s voice came over the radio: “Trust the runway. It was built to carry you. Just line up, lower your speed, and let the plane land. The ground is waiting for you.”
In that moment, the pilot realized the runway had always been there, ready to receive him. All he had to do was trust and guide the plane home.
Our hearts are like that runway. God is circling, desiring to land, but He will not force Himself in. We must open up, clear the clutter, and let Him land.
Application:
God Knocks, but You Must Open (Revelation 3:20) Like the runway waiting for the plane, Jesus stands ready. He knocks, but the gate must be opened from the inside. The arena of your heart is designed for His presence, but He will only land when invited.
God Strengthens the Inner Being (Ephesians 3:16–17) The runway must be prepared for the weight of the landing. In the same way, God strengthens your inner being to carry His presence. This isn’t a short visit—He wants to dwell there, permanently.
Applications
1.Clear the Runway – Remove unforgiveness, bitterness, or distractions that keep Him circling instead of landing.
2.Practice Daily Invitation – Begin each morning by saying, “Lord, land in my heart today. Rule in my decisions and guide my steps.”
3.Trust His Presence – Just as a pilot must trust the runway to hold the plane, trust God to sustain you when He lands in your life.
Lord Jesus,We open our hearts as the runway for Your Spirit to land. Forgive us for the times we’ve kept You circling while we filled our hearts with other things. Today we make space for You. Dwell in the arena of our hearts. Rule in our thoughts, reign in our desires, and lead us to walk in Your will. May our lives be a living testimony that You have landed and taken Your rightful place. In Your precious name we pray, Amen.
